CADS Festival

The CADS National Ski Improvement and Race Development Festival is a week-long event featuring certification courses and training sessions with some of the best adaptive instructors from across Canada. The Festival is the “grand finale” for CADS local adaptive skiing/boarding programs. The goal of this family-focused event is to help students further improve their skills, meet other students and, for those interested, participate in race development in a fun, supportive environment. The week also includes an annual awards banquet and the CADS National AGM.

Registration

Students, instructors and participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

  • Student Lesson Package: $425 ($450 after Feb. 10) – Includes daily lift pass, daily on-hill lessons, access to all activities and events, one banquet ticket ($50 value).
  • Festival Instructor: $50 – Includes lift pass and access to: training sessions, CADS certification course, all activities and events, one banquet ticket.
  • Festival Attendee: $100 – Includes access to: discounted lift passes, training sessions, CADS certification course, all activities and events, one banquet ticket.

Bursaries

A number of student bursaries are available to help offset the costs of attending the 2012 CADS National Festival in Kimberley.

  • National Bursaries: CADS National is offering two bursaries for a first time student and attendant to attend the Festival. The bursaries will cover travel, accommodation, festival registration, banquet tickets and a meal allowance. To apply, visit the Festival page of the CADS National website, www.disabledskiing.ca, and download the application form. Application deadline is January 30, so don’t wait – apply now!
  • CADS Alberta Bursaries: CADS Alberta is offering three grants of $500 each. To apply, please submit a letter requesting consideration for the grant. Letters can be forwarded to CADS Alberta, attention Allyson Szafranski, at info@cadsalberta.ca. Preference will be given to first-time students, regional representation and perceived need. The application deadline is March 1.
