About the Registration Process

CADS Calgary runs one series of skiing/snowboarding lessons each year, typically in January and February. This year’s lesson dates are: Sunday evenings 7-9pm January 12, 19 & 26, February 2, 9 & 23, March 1 and Saturday evening 7-9pm March 7. Because we are a volunteer-based organization, students are accepted into our program on a first-come, first-served basis as long as the student can be matched with a suitable instructor and/or equipment. Registration does not necessarily guarantee placement in the program. Students must register in person for assessment and instructor matching purposes.

Student Fees 2019

  • Membership $50
  • Student Lessons $350
  • Rentals
    • Youth $104
    • Adult $128
  • Helmet Rental $48

Mountain Ski Club

The Mountain Ski Club is a CADS Program offered outside of the Learn to Ski/Snowboard Sunday evening lesson series. Students who enroll in the club take part in 4 evenings of skiing at COP plus for full day trips to the Mountains.

Student Requirements & Forms

Students must be six years or older by September 1, 2018 for enrollment in our upcoming program. Links to the fillable registration forms are posted below so you can complete them on your computer, print them, and bring them with you to registration if you prefer. Copies of all the forms will be also available for your use at the registration session.

What to Expect on Registration Day…

Saturday, October 26 2019, 10 am – 2 pm, COP Cafeteria

Our student registration events tend to be very busy. Although we try to process registrations as quickly as possible, please come prepared for long line-ups and waiting times. Because of this families are advised to arrive early on that day. We will be issuing numbers, ordered by group, to individuals as they arrive in order to keep the process as fair as possible.

All students are required to meet with a ski school supervisor from the student’s designated group (blind, deaf, sit-ski, learning disabled, developmentally delayed, etc.). This allows the supervisor to accurately assess a student’s individual abilities and capabilities to determine what equipment the student will require and to match them with an appropriate instructor(s).

Because students may grow and change from one year to the next, even returning students are required to meet with their supervisor in person at registration.
