2020/2021 CADS Calgary Program Update

We hope everyone has had a Merry Christmas; we know you have all been waiting for updates on what CADS Calgary’s intentions are for delivering a safe and enjoyable program this year.

After a special meeting held on December 27, and consultation with CADS Alberta, AHS, Winsport and many months of meetings and planning it has been unanimously decided by the Board of Directors and CADS Ski and Snowboard School that CADS Calgary WILL NOT be running our Adaptive Learn to Ski and Snowboard Program during the 2020-2021 season.

After much discussion and thought we feel that there is no way based on the current COVID numbers in Calgary and surrounding areas that we can deliver a program that keeps all participants, volunteers and staff at Winsport safe, healthy and able to enjoy the season.

We will update everyone in the coming weeks on initiatives to keep members connected and involved in the CADS Community going forward.

We realize that this is a big disappointment to all our members, and it is a decision that we have not come to easily but with heavy heart. This will be the 1st time since CADS Calgary started that a program has not taken place at Winsport. However, the health and safety of our members and their families are our utmost priority, and we feel this is the best way forward right now.

Sincerely,

Scott Darling

President, CADS Calgary
